Thurmont, MD - A Frederick County Man dropped off 75, mostly small breed, dogs to the local county animal shelter after stating that he was watching the dogs for a friend. Apparently the man became overwhelmed by the number of dogs, and tried to contact the owner, but was unsuccessful. Because the shelter, as is the case with county-run facilities, refuses no animal, they are now overwhelmed with an abundance of dogs and are making a plea from the public for help in the placement of these dogs. The dogs are not house-trained, but are reportedly very social. If you, or anyone that you know, can assist with placement and/or foster of a dog, please contact the Frederick County Animal Shelter at: (301) 600-1546.
